We have the opportunity to introduce a new reference recently included in our portfolio: Premium Potato Starch.

This ingredient is manufactured in Denmark through AKV, a new company exclusively represented by IMPAG Iberia in the Iberian market.    

We obtain Premium Potato Starch from Danish potatoes through an energy and water saving process. As a result, the native starch meets the highest standards of purity and food safety.     

Our Premium Potato Starch is of high quality thanks to the time and care put into the cultivation and processing of the raw material, it is a non-GMO, gluten-free and clean label product.  

It stands out for having one of the highest peak viscosities in the starch industry. This offers endless opportunities to adjust viscosity in liquid solutions or to create a gel or paste, as required for each specific application.

A low gelatinization temperature means that less heat is needed to activate AKV potato starch compared to other types of starch, which improves the profitability of your production process.     

Due to its properties, this premium potato starch is mainly used in applications where thickening power is required while maintaining a smooth and elastic structure in the product. It has a wide range of applications, e.g. in the preparation of cooked sausages or sausages, premium potato starch binds water, helps not to lose water and to maintain a smooth texture.

In the preparation of fish and meat analogues, it contributes to the product and its texture while providing a neutral flavor.

It is also ideal for thickening sauces, soups, creams, etc. & in other sectors such as snacks to facilitate expansion and in the Bakery area to formulate gluten-free products.
